Is ADT a pretty good company to install video security?

I want to install an outdoor video security system but there's no way I can do it on my own. I'm thinking of ADT. Are they a good company to deal with? Also, if you are a policeman what kind of security systems are the best? Don't say a big dog as I have a pomeranian already, and don't want another dog.

1. The best way to get a security camera installed would be to talk to friends and family that have one and hire the company they used if they liked the service. ADT is a large company and it's performance will probably vary from place to place. Another method for getting good service is to have several companies come and give you an estimate. Have a list of questions for them when they arrive and record their answers. Compare their answers to one another in addition to the cost and the product they want to install. I have a dog and a battery of guns for my security system. The size of the dog doesn't matter. The primary thing about a dog is that they bark if something is wrong. That is what you really need. If they bark and alert you to a possible intruder then they have done you a huge favor. EDIT: Ava that is funny it reminds me of an interview I saw a long time ago with the guy that brought a gun to the town hall meeting with Barry. 2. Tie a police officer to a chain and mount the chain on your font lawn... or back which ever one. They would also make good play mates for your Pomeranian
