Why do most surveillance camera's have such bad quality?
I am quite appalled at the fact that most surveillance camera's have the quality of a 30 year old image. If camera's were better, catching faces of criminals would be much easier. Why do local buildings, and areas invest very little in surveillance? Are they really that cheap? true true. Either way, it's still a shame.

- It's usually a case if the storage Media. Because owners want to capture as much video as possible and not take up piles of tape or lots of hard drive space, the video is compressed or derogated. The cameras are also usually not the best as far as lens's and the pick up device.
